Havyard designs another windfarm service vessel for ESVAGT Havyard Group confirms its position within the offshore wind power industry. Havyard delivered one of the world’s first purpose-built vessels for offshore windfarms, and this will become the fifth windfarm service vessel for one of the pioneers within offshore wind power, ESVAGT.

France Pélagique (based in Paris and part of the Cornelis Vrolijk group based in The Netherlands) and Havyard Ship Technology (based in Norway) have signed a contract to build an innovative pelagic trawler of 80-meter. The vessel is expected to be delivered in December 2018. This new innovative vessel will replace one of the two French flagged trawlers (built in the early 80’s), owned by France Pélagique. The contract includes an option for one additional vessel.
Nedim Jakupovic says this this is an important breakthrough for HPR. The contract is also pleasing because HPR are able to secure employment for a large number of the employees for several years ahead.
Havyard Group has turned deficit into plus and delivered operating profits of NOK 112 million in 2016, although large write-downs weighs down financial results.
