Havyard Design & Solution will provide the design and Havyard Ship Technology will equip the vessel. First ferry launched on the Hareid-Sulesund service

Today, Cemre Shipyard in Turkey launched the hull of the first of a total of five Havyard 936 battery ferries that will operate the Hareid-Sulesund and Aursnes-Magerholm services in Sunnmøre. It will now be towed to Norway for fitting out.

Havyard delivers its first battery-powered ferry with automatic fjord crossing

Havyard has met some very stringent environmental requirements and won a total of 13 contracts for the delivery of both equipment for and the building of Fjord 1's battery-powered ferries. The first ferry, Bnr 132 MF Husavik was christened on Monday 14 May in a lovely ceremony at the yard in Leirvik in Sogn.
